A month has passed when the roads of the Pink City, Jaipur were reddened with the blood of innocent people. The dreadful serial bomb blasts on May 13, left behind them a trail of panic, sorrow and permanent loss of the dears and the beloved. The Police and Investigating agencies are still wandering in the dark. They could not trace out any clue, or may be, they don’t want to.
The aftermath of the blasts was not easy for the Muslim community as it is always the case. Just like earlier, this incident was also attributed to the Muslims. Now begins the blindfolded rounding up of the Muslim youth. They didn’t spare even the religious persons, the Maulvis and Imams of the mosques. They are heading with a mindset according to which “this is the craft of a Muslim only.” Certainly, this kind of approach can lead them to nowhere. They have ignored all other possibilities. This alarms one and points towards the ‘modus operandi’ of the Israeli Intelligence agency Mossad who deem themselves to be the eternal enemies of Islam and the Muslims and who are busy nowadays, with their American brethren in profiling the Muslims as terrorists. With the help of their local support, they are carrying out such acts of terror and as quickly as possible, blaming it on the Muslims. How is it possible to declare within less than half an hour that such and such organisations are behind the blasts, when they are still nowhere after a month’s investigation.
“I don’t underestimate our intelligence agencies, in fact they do not want to find out the real culprits, instead they are helping them escape. They are misguiding the investigation and helping in profiling the Muslims as terrorists,” says Engineer Mohd. Saleem, state president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. He was speaking at “Legal Awareness Programme” organised by Rajasthan Muslim Forum, a united forum of about 17 leading Muslim Organisations and Institutions at Muslim Musafir Khana of Jaipur.
Secretary General of People’s Union For Civil Liberties (PUCL) asserted that an international conspiracy is on of profiling the Muslims, especially highly educated and technocrats, as terrorists. Sawai Singh, Convener Sadbhav Manch Rajasthan was concerned about the Bajrang Dal and its allies training the youth, and now girls, to play swords and revolvers.
Qari Mueenuddeen, convener of the Forum said, “We will continue to be oppressed till we refuse to be oppressed. We will have to stand up and counter any kind of tyranny within the constitutional frame.”
However, the Muslims are badly scared and are suspicious about the honesty of the government, police and the investigating agencies. No country can combat terrorism without gaining trust of all groups of the society. So the government must shun branding the Muslims as terrorists and suspecting the community; they must change their Mindset.
