Secretary-General Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Nusrat Ali has expressed deep sense of sorrow and sadness on the December 27 terrible killing of former prime minister of Pakistan and leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Benazir Bhutto in Rawalpindi. He also condemned the terror activities whereby efforts are being made to tarnish the image of Islam, Muslim States and Muslims at large.
In a statement released on December 28, the Jamaat leader drew the attention of the people of Pakistan to realise their religious and moral responsibility and keep a keen eye on the conspiracies being played to make their country a land of chaos and anarchy, and killing and massacre.
“The ultimate success of Pakistani people lies in holding firmly the Qur’an and the Sunnah; the sooner they translate it into practice the better,” he said.
