This year Jamia Millia Islamia, will conduct a Common Entrance Test (CET) for some of the undergraduate courses in the faculty of humanities and languages, faculty of social sciences and faculty of natural sciences.
The entrance test in Faculty of social science will be conducted into two groups. One group will include some professional courses such as Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Arts with Computer Application (BACA) and BA (Hons) in Economics. While the second group will include some general courses BA Pass and BA (Hons.) in sociology, political science, psychology, geography, social work, history, hotel management and travel & tourism. The entrance test for both groups will be conducted on June 2. The last date of receiving applications for all these courses is May 5.
The Common Entrance Test in Faculty of Humanities and Languages will cover BA (Hons) in Arabic, Hindi, Persian, English, Urdu, Islamic Studies and Mass Media. The entrance test will be conducted on June 3. The last date of receiving applications for all these courses is May 4.
The Common Entrance Test in Faculty of Natural Sciences will also be conducted into two groups. One group will include courses such as Bachelor of Science (Hons), B.Sc. Instrumentation, BSc. in physics, chemistry, mathematics and BA (Hons) in mathematics. And the second group will include B.Sc. in biosciences and biotechnology. The date of the Entrance Test for the first group will be on June 3, and the date for the second group will be on June 2. The last date of receiving applications for all these courses is May 4.
This is the first time that the university is conducting a common entrance test across different undergraduate courses.
