The Japanese government is providing P28.8 million for the construction of a human resource development training centre in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). Japanese Deputy Chief of Mission Minister Motohiko Kato attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the training centre, and dubbed the “Japan-ARMM Friendship Hall and Training Centre” in Cotabato City. According to the Japanese Embassy in Manila, the construction of the training centre will be sourced from the Counter-value Fund and is expected to serve as a training centre for human resource development programmes of ARMM’s regional line agencies and adjacent administrative regions and cities. About 90 trainings, workshops, seminars are expected to be accommodated in the facility.
