The Ameer (president) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind expressed his deep sorrow and mourning on the sad demise of Dr. Syed Abdul Bari Shabnam Subhani on 1 September. In a press statement on 2 September, the Ameer said that he had been very close to the deceased for a pretty long time say around fifty years. His demise is an irreversible loss to the community. His greatest work was to propagate the Urdu literature with the test of Islamic values and ideologies. He was a man of great value and was widely known for his friendly behaviour with everyone. The Ameer prayed to Allah for his forgiveness.
