Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh rejected the newly formed parliamentary committee to amend the country’s constitution in line with an earlier plan to restore the spirit of the constitution of 1972. Addressing a view exchange meeting as the chief guest, acting Secretary General of the party ATM Ajharul Islam rejected the committee saying that the country is going to an uncertain situation. Dhaka city unit of the party organised the view exchange with engineers at Jamaat Central Office in the city as part of its pre-announced programmes of creating public support against the fascist government. Ajhar also said the present government wants to implement the one-party rule like ‘BAKSAL’.
