The general secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mr. Nusrat Ali expressed grief and sorrow over the sudden death of a renowned social activist and ex-police officer Mr. Mauji Khan, and termed it as a great loss for the community. In a press statement the Jamaat leader said that although distress and agony come along with death, but Mauji Khan’s death, just after two days of his return from Hajj is something that can be termed as captivating.
The Jamaat leader praised the social activities of the deceased and said that the footsteps of Mauji Khan deserve to be followed by the posterity. The Jamaat leader acknowledged his actions during the time of emergency, when the members of JIH were being arrested, where Khan judiciously displayed high moral character. The Jamaat leader prayed to Allah for a place in Paradise for him.
