JIH DEMANDS HIGH LEVEL ENQUIRY INTO MORADABAD RIOTS

The Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mr. Nusrat Ali, in a press statement on August 11, has expressed grief and sorrow over the latest Moradabad riots. Mr. Ali said that the irresponsible administration and the incompetence of police led to vandalism and riots, and has appealed to the government for its enquiry by higher officials.

The Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mr. Nusrat Ali, in a press statement on August 11, has expressed grief and sorrow over the latest Moradabad riots. Mr. Ali said that the irresponsible administration and the incompetence of police led to vandalism and riots, and has appealed to the government for its enquiry by higher officials.

The Jamaat leader also said that the role played by the U.P. police and the administration cannot be condoned and they remained incapable in bringing a quick solution and much needed peace and tranquility to the city. He went ahead to say that although the police had the laid back attitude in curbing the menace but they came swiftly when it came to shooting at the civilians.

The Jamaat leader paid condolences to the families of the deceased and asked the government to take necessary action against the evil elements who disturbed the calm and peaceful ambience of the city in the blessed month of Ramadhan.
