JIH Former Ameer-e-Halqua Bihar Qamrul Huda is No More

Former Ameer-e-Halqua Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Bihar, Qamrul Huda breathed his last at Medanta Hospital, Patna at 3:15 am on December 31. On December 21, he got one of the legs fractured after falling down in his room. He was admitted to hospital where he developed lung infection which he could not survive. He was 87.

On December 21, he got one of the legs fractured after falling down in his room. He was admitted to hospital where he developed lung infection which he could not survive. He was 87.

Qamrul Huda Qamar was one of the direct disciples of Dr. Syed Ziyaul Huda, then Ameer Halqua of JIH Bihar. He joined the Jamaat in 1980. He was Ameer Halqua for about 17 years, from 1994 to 2011 besides being on JIH Markazi Majlis-e-Numaindagan. He was Organisational Secretary at Halqua and member of Zonal Advisory Council of JIH Bihar till his death.

Mr. Qamrul Huda was B.Com., L.L.B, and was an employee at the Statistics Department of Government of Bihar. After joining JIH, he took VRS to dedicate himself to the cause of Islam and started working at Halqua as full-time worker.

His wife Razia Qamar, who was Zonal Organiser of Ladies Wing JIH Bihar, died in 2010. As she was issueless, she adopted her niece.

JIH President Syed Sadatullah Husaini, in his condolence message, said, “Late Qamrul Huda was one of the oldest and most experienced members. The way he fulfilled his responsibilities and rendered his services to the Jamaat is a bright example for all of us.”

Expressing his deep sense of sorrow and grief, the current Ameer Halqua of Bihar Maulana Rizwan Ahmad Islahi said the demise of Qamrul Huda was his personal loss as the latter had taught him how to work with the Jamaat right from the beginning. “His demise brought a period of the Islamic Movement in Bihar to an end. He had utmost piety and God-consciousness. He followed to the hilt a principled and disciplined life.

JIH Vice President Muhammad Jafar and Secretary Shabbir Alam left for Patna to attend his funeral prayer.

His funeral prayer was led by Ameer Halqua Maulana Rizwan Ahmad Islahi at the Halqua office situated at Tekari Road, Patna at 1:30 pm on December 31. Then he was rushed to his native place Malmal in Madhubani district of Bihar. Another funeral prayer was offered there, following which he was buried at the graveyard near Madrasa ChashmaFaiz at about 10 am on January 1, 2023.
