The Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Malik Moatasim Khan has expresses concern over recent media reports of alleged mistreatment of Maulana Abdullah Salim Chaturvedi by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), calling for strict adherence to due process and respect for human dignity.

In a statement, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind leader said the reported incident raises serious questions about compliance with legal procedures and the protection of individual rights. While reiterating that any alleged objectionable remarks or hate speech cannot be justified, he stressed that the law must be applied fairly and impartially in all cases.

“Every individual, irrespective of the allegations against them, is entitled to dignity, due process, and protection from torture, harassment, or any form of mistreatment,” the statement said.
