JIH Leaders Visit Family of Victims of Recent Lynching in Alwar

A high level delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) paid a visit to the family of the victim of recent lynching in Alwar district of Rajasthan to express their solidarity with them.

A high level delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) paid a visit to the family of the victim of recent lynching in Alwar district of Rajasthan to express their solidarity with them.

While expressing their condolence on the death of Akbar Khan as a result of recent mob lynching in Alwar, JIH Vice President Nusrat Ali and Secretary General Dr Muhammad Salim Engineer assured the members of his family of every possible help.

The villagers found the role of police in this case suspicious. According to media reports, Akbar Khan was also allegedly thrashed by policemen on the way to hospital and the Government of Rajasthan has suspended four policemen. The leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind also demanded an impartial probe in this case as well as reasonable compensation for the victim’s family by the government.

They also demanded strict action against the policemen who were involved in this case. They urged the government to build pressure on the administration to arrest all the culprits of this heinous crime as soon as possible.

28 years-old Akbar Khan was lynched to death by a group of local people when he was bringing cows for his dairy production. However, his friend Aslam managed to escape from the site of the attack. This is third case of lynching in Alwar during the last one year.
