A workshop on social media handling was organized by the Sanganer unit of Jamaat -e -Islami Hind Rajasthan on Sunday. In the workshop, women and girl students were told how to work on various social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X) and YouTube. What should be kept in mind while using social media was also explained in detail in the workshop.

Journalism research scholar Ilma guided the students on the use of a video editing tool with story writing and report writing for digital media.

Ilma said women and students should see more channels and websites that show reliable news. He gave information about the tool of the Canva app to make basic invitations, posters and advertisement. Ilma told the students that there are many issues related to female feticide, women safety, domestic violence, dowry, etc. which need to be done based on facts, considering seriously.

Ghazala Parveen, a member of the Women’s Wing of Jamaat e Islami Hind Sanganer, said this workshop was an awareness program to make social media useful for creative works. She warned all the participants about the positive and negative effects of social media and asked them to use it wisely. The event was organized under the leadership of Syeda Farhana Farheen.
