Mr. Nusrat Ali, General Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, while expressing his resentment on the tabling of Liberhan Commission Report in Parliament has sought the government to take legal action against the accused for the demolition of historical Babri Masjid, so that the culprit who flared up communal violence, created misunderstanding among the communities, made huge blood-shed and tainted the democracy can be severely punished. He said the fact will come out after going through the report but as the information is coming, there is nothing new. Because the Mosque was demolished in the broad daylight and under the eyes of lakhs of people and such information is safely recorded in both print and electronic media. If these records are present in the Commission’s Report, it will strengthen Muslims’ stand. It will also help the government to fulfil the requirement of justice and bring the culprits to the book. He hoped that the government will not delay in taking action.
The JIH leader refuted the remarks against Muslims in the report and said that it is unnecessary and believed the countrymen would believe in peace and justice.
