Reacting to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Anil Chauhan’s admission that a few Indian jets were downed during the recent clashes with Pakistan, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge attacked the PM Narendra Modi-led government, accusing it of “misleading the nation”.Kharge also posed some serious questions and said that the entire issue should be discussed in a special session of Parliament.
In the wake of the remarks made by the CDS in an interview with Bloomberg, Kharge said there are some very important questions which need to be asked. “The Modi Govt has misled the nation. The fog of war is now clearing,” Kharge saidinter aliaon X.
Kharge reiterated the Congress demand of a Comprehensive Review of Defence Preparedness by an independent expert committee, on the lines of the Kargil Review Committee.
It is high time the Government came forward to clarify the issue. After all, war and conflict should not be politicised.

Double Standards
According to news published in the media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his blood boils when he heard about an attack on 26 Indian pilgrims in Pahalgam-Kashmir. It is natural that anybody’s blood should boil when innocent persons are killed for no fault of theirs. Our hon’ble PM is cent percent right when he says so. As a Gujarati, a trillion dollar question arises in my mind as to why his blood did not boil while thousands of Indians living in Gujarat state were killed during post-Godhra riots in 2002 in his chief ministership. It is to be noted that our hon’ble PM belongs to Gujarat.
Were the Gujaratis killed during post-Godhra riots not Indians?

Don’t Make Youth Wait for Jobs
Government data released recently reveals that joblessness among those in the age group of 15-29 years is 15 per cent in cities and 13 per cent in rural areas without going into the parameters on the basis of which unemployment is measured. One should say that 15 among 100 Indians in this active age group remaining unemployed is a worrisome phenomenon. This is the age when young men and women should be pursuing their professions and building their careers and one wonders what they would do if they do not have a job? Such statistics should be taken seriously and every effort should be made to set right the gaps in economic planning so that the youth of this country are not made to wait for jobs for years together.

Israel Exposed
The Settlers, a film by BBC, rips through the mindset of the Jewish people. How they are radicalised through the Taurah and a false claim to the land of Palestine. The Zionist lobby has used religion to brainwash their people though they themselves are not religious. The quotes such as ‘we are the Chosen people of the Lord’ and ‘God has promised this land to the Jews’ are some of the rants ingrained in every Jew from the time he or she is born. Somassacring the indigenous people or expelling them from their homes is a natural phenomenon for the illegal settlements.
