Making new and creative inroads into the field of Dawah, Islamic Information Centre- Pune held its 3-day exhibition “Know the Truth” at Raja Ravi Verma Art Gallery, Pune from 15 to 17 May.
More than 100 panels and a couple of interesting models were up for display which brought to focus the various teachings of Islam like Oneness of God, Prophethood, Qur’ān and Science, Life after Death, Social Issues, Misunderstandings about Islam and Women’s Rights in Islam.
At the inaugural programme, the Chief Guests were Mr. Sunil Mali (Editor of Sakal newspaper) and Mr. Dayanand Irkal (Shiv Sena Corporator) who had some beautiful feedbacks to share.
Mr. Sunil Mali averred that ‘there is indeed only One God and we should obey Him and worship Him alone.’ He said that such exhibitions are the need of the day as they help in wiping off hatred and promoting a sense of fraternity. ‘This would rectify the misunderstandings about Islam and contribute to a better society,’ said he.
Mr. Dayanand Irkal was also all praise for the endeavour and expressed the need to conduct such exhibitions in housing societies and public grounds so that the word of God reaches everyone and we can all stand shoulder to shoulder against social vices like Female Foeticide.
Attended by more than 500 people, including Pune Municipal Corporation Mayor, Mr. Dattatray Dhankawde, reputed doctors, professors and IT professionals, the exhibition is expected to change the way people – fed by Corporate and Zionist media – perceive Islam.
Muhammad Mustafeezur Rahman from JIH Pune told us, “This is our pilot programme and after this we are going to conduct the same in regional languages as well inshaAllah.”
