The presidential administration said the country had undertaken comprehensive measures in recent years to modernise civil aviation, strengthen state supervision of air safety, and align its aviation system with international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation.

The move follows a meeting of the EU Aviation Safety Committee held from May 19 to 21, during which the country’s progress was reviewed. The decision is expected to be formally enacted through a regulation issued by the European Commission.
