When Muslim leaders and organisations called upon all Muslims to vote united to defeat BJP, it was our mistake. Our Hindu brethren misunderstood that Muslims are uniting against Hindus; hence they motivated the masses to unite themselves to save Hindutva because it is in danger and our Hindu brethren took this as a challenge and voted for BJP. If we would have addressed all secular Indian citizens instead of Muslims alone I think we could have succeeded in defeating the BJP.
As a future strategy we should form a united party along with the like-minded Indians, join the third front or any one party to save the plural ethos in the nation.
