It was reported in the Deccan Chronicle dated 20th Nov. thatthe public sector Life Insurance Corporation of India has come under severe fire from the entire political party class of Tamil Nadu, with Chief Minister M.K.Stalin declaring that “the LIC website hasbeen reduced to a propaganda tool for Hindi imposition”.Even a BJP leader,Tirupathi Narayana, protested the website turning fully Hindi.
“Even the option to select English is displayed in Hindi,”exclaimed Mr.Stalin in his Xpage, soon after the controversy broke out with some news outlets and social media channels pointing out the website turning fully Hindi, making it difficult for people with no knowledge of Hindi to navigate it.The Deputy Chief MinisterUdhayanidh Stalin andLeader of Opposition Edapadi K. Palaniswami, reacted strongly to LIC’s unexpected move. The company clarified: “Our Corporate website licindia.inwas not shuffling language page due to some technical problem, issue resolved nowwebsite available in English/Hindi language.”
The Union Government had not learned the lesson thatby imposing anything, including Hindi, it couldn’t be made to grow, Mr.Udhayanidhi Stalin said and urged the Union Government to immediately make the website multilingual to enable all the people access the contents.
“This is nothing but cultural and language imposition byforce, trampling on India’sdiversity,” the chief minister said.”LIC grew with patronage of all Indians. How dare it betray the majority ofcontributors?”

Top Court Verdict Lesson for Netas
The Supreme Court verdict against the barbaric practice of bulldozing homes in an arbitrary manner, will hopefully also demolish the king-sized ego and the bulldozer mindset of not only the arrogant rulers but also the bureaucrats involved in the execution of such illicit orders.
Furthermore, overzealous bureaucrats will now think twice before pushing through such arbitrary orders to the sadistic delight of the netas and the glee of their followers, as they will have to pay through their nose for any illicit or politically motivated and communally targeted demolitions.
The verdict will go a long way in restoring the faith of the public in the rule of law, especially among the religious minority groups worst hit by the horrifying bulldozers!

Respected Mr. V.T. Rajshekar Saab
Respected Mr. Rajshekar Saab, known as VTR among his friends and well-wishers, died on 20th November, 2024 at the ripe age of 93. He fought boldly for the citizens who were denied human rights. He remained faithful to the cause of Dalits and weaker sections of society throughout his entire life. He never compromised for his principles. He paid a heavy price for adhering to his principles as they were not digestible to the ‘Brahmanical lobby’. He had to face social isolation for his ideology. He used to say ‘Toilet Papers’ which were dominated by the Brahmanical lobby. These toilet papers published the news, views, photographs, articles, obituaries of their stooges who had sold their soul, dignity, prestige to the Brahmanical lobby.
VTR was a staunch supporter of Islam. He was a great admirer of Mohammed Ali Jinnah of Pakistan. Mr. Jinnah was in his good books. Dalit Voice fortnightly edited by him had large circulation among Muslims.
VTR was a strong anti-Zionist and wrote extensively against Jews without any fear.
Let me conclude this letter by quoting from one of his editorials:“At least 50% of the Bahujans (SCs/STs/BCs and Muslims/Christians/ Sikhs) are so poor, so unconscious, so unthinking that they do not even know who is sucking their blood.” (Source :Dalit Voice, October 1-15, 2010)
Heartfelt condolences to his family members, well-wishers, sympathisers and friends spread across the globe.
