A Madrasa Skill Academy was inaugurated in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, with a clear aim to equip students of Islamic madrasas with practical skills, vocational abilities, leadership development, personality building, and proficiency in modern technology, alongside their traditional religious education.
The inauguration took place on Eidgah Road under the banner of the Madrasa Skill Academy. The event was titled ‘Ulama, Business and Skills Conference’ and opened with a recitation of Naatsby noted poet Dr. Nawaz Deobandi.
Mufti Arif Qasmi, a senior teacher at Darul Uloom Waqf and the founding figure of the academy, chaired the event. He stated that students of Islamic madrasas must prepare themselves according to the needs of the changing times. He stressed that madrasa students lack neither ability nor intelligence nor hard work. What they need is proper direction, structured training, and practical opportunities to play an effective role in society.
Wali Rahmani addressed the gathering and urged young people not to limit themselves to traditional education and certificates alone. He called on them to acquire practical skills, self-confidence, leadership qualities, and a broad understanding of various fields of life.
Kasim Usmani, chairman of the academy, outlined the institution’s core objective. Speakers included Maulana UmrainMahfooz Rahmani, secretary of AIMPLBoard; Noor Nawaz Khan of Hind Guru Academy, and others.
