On introduction of Islam

  • Its concerted efforts to provide correct information about Islam and clear misinformation has resulted in positive changes in the thinking of great many non-Muslim countrymen. The negative approach of many persons about the Qur’ān has changed into positive thinking and a host of intellectuals and educated persons have come up to defend Islam and Muslims in the media, both print and electronic.
  • The Jamaat has provided authentic sources of correct information about Islam through books, print media and electronic media, including web sites. Any person interested in Islamic studies can easily access these sources.

On recourse to basic sources

  • The Jamaat has encouraged both Muslims and non-Muslims to refer to the Qur’ān and Sunnah (Traditions of the blessed Prophet), the basic sources, for getting information about Islam. It has particularly succeeded in persuading a generation of young men and women to study the Qur’ān with its translations and commentaries for better understanding, and not be contended to mere recitation of the Arabic text. The culture of direct reference to the meaning of the Qur’ān has caught on as a result of these endeavours.

Other areas of activity

  • The consciousness about joint concern and efforts on community issues has increased among the Muslims.
  • Involvement of Muslims in joint civil struggles of the nation, without any bias about caste, creed or language or religion has increased.
  • The approach and the resulting involvement about social service including relief work at the time of man-made and natural calamities, has witnessed a positive change. The Jamaat has effectively propagated that social service is a requirement of the religion and a Muslim is duty-bound to serve the humanity at large.
