The Bombay High Court, on 18 December, rejected the bail plea of Parveen Takal who is an accused in 2008 Malegaon blast. The court noted while dismissing his bail application that the available records show that the accused is a member of an organised criminal syndicate which carries out bomb blasts in Muslim ghettos and at religious places. The court further noted that the accused may hamper evidences if he got bail. Earlier, a MACOCA court had denied bail to him on similar grounds.
