National Investigation Agency, in a special court in Mumbai, claimed that the accused Manohar Singh confessed before NIA to have carried out bomb blasts in Malegaon in 2006 which left 37 people dead. Special Public Prosecutor, Rohini Salyan, informed the court that the accused has provided many clues in the bomb blasts which might lead to other suspects. The name of Manohar Singh was suggested by Rajendar Chaudhary, who is the prime accused in Samjhauta Express blasts.
Earlier, the ATS had arrested nine Muslim youths in this case and put them behind the bars for more than five years. Later, the case was forwarded to CBI and it too supported the investigations of ATS. Now with NIA being assigned with the investigation of the case, it puts a big question mark on the activities to ATS and CBI.
