In a letter to Home Minister, Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat-e-Ulema Hind, blamed the local fascist leaders for the Nangloi incident. He mentioned the incident of eve-teasing, with the support of local fascist leaders, with Muslim girls visiting their relatives on the occasion of Eid. The incident was painted as a communal one and minorities were attacked and now they are being threatened. Muslim localities are feeling insecure and fear reprisal from the sectarian forces. Even now stone-pelting incidents are being reported from the area, he mentioned. He also wrote that the local BJP leaders are at the forefront and making the situation fragile just for some political gains. In his letter, Maulana Madani demanded that the chief minister should direct the police to immediately put an end to the communal activities and issue order for unbiased investigation without favouring any particular community.
