RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, in his speech in New York on August 29, has spoken in unbelievable reconciliatory tones about religious tolerance and unity in diversity in the Indian society. He said that if some Hindus want that Muslims should be ousted from India, they are not (true) Hindus. He was speaking in an interfaith leaders conference organised by AHEAD Forum, which brought together speakers from Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Jainism and Islam. Bhagwat also spoke about what he claimed as his efforts to have dialogue with Muslims and Christians.

RSS has completed 100 years of its existence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed in his speech to the nation on the last Independence Day, from the Red Fort that the RSS is the largest and the greatest social service organisation of the world.

It is an accepted fact that RSS and the ruling BJP are the two sides of the same coin. RSS is the fountainhead of the Hindutva ideology and BJP is the political manifestation of Hindutva, which wants to make India a non-secular and one-party nation.

Mr. Bhagwat’s speech is being severely criticised in India. Because people have seen how RSS’ political wing BJP has suppressed the minorities, especially Muslims and Dalits. Broadminded and democracy-loving Hindu intellectuals, who are still in a majority, do not subscribe to the Hindutva ideology of RSS and BJP. They have experienced how the 12 years long misrule of the BJP has communalised the nation and poisoned the minds of a large majority of the country.

Besides poisoning the minds of common citizens, other gifts of this ideology are spoiling of inter-faith relations, denial of basic human rights, destroying of federalism, suppression of freedom of expression and press, and manipulation of free and fair elections. Besides this, the practical implications of this ideology have promoted hate, suspicion and fear in large sections of Indian citizens. Spurt in crimes, human rights violations, arbitrary arrests and promotion of violence are the additional gifts of this sinister ideology.

The Hindutva ideology has opened the doors of all time high corruption, horse trading and purchasing of the members of opposition parties which has led to the destruction of democracy and fears of imposition of a fascist dispensation. Further, the Hindutva regime has almost destroyed the basic human rights and even supressed the judiciary which is in perpetual fear of losing its freedom. Therefore, we would sincerely request Bhagwat to rein in its power wieldingother half BJP and reform it before it is too late and irreversible.

Some political analysts are asking why Bhagwat and Modi are spoiling the nation. Why they both have never condemned hatemongers like Adityanath Yogi, Hemant BiswaSarma, Anurag Thakur, Kapil Mishra and their followers who are shamelessly poisoning the minds of common Hindus. If they don’t fear God or don’t believe in the Day of Judgement, don’t they fear that things will go so out of control that our country would be completely spoiled? It would lead India towards complete disorder, balkanisation and total destruction. Let our deeds be louder than our talks and sermons. May Almighty Allah protect and save our country form chaos and disaster.
