Tendulkar was paid hugely for whatever he did. He sacrificed nothing for the country. A noted journalist has given example of how Tendulkar had no compunction about taking undue advantage wherever it was possible. It was nice to know that he had refused honorary doctorate from a university because, in his opinion, it was not appropriate. Awarding Bharat Ratna to him will be the most inappropriate precedent. He should politely ask the Prime Minister not to consider him.
