Muslim Dentist Dr Namira Siddiqui Secures AIR 1 in NEET MDS 2026

NEET MDS is the mandatory national-level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programmes in India. This year’s examination was conducted on May 2, 2026, by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

Dr Namira Mohammad Ghalib Siddiqui has achieved an outstanding academic milestone by securing All India Rank 1 (AIR 1) in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2026. The results of the examination were announced on June 3.

Dr Namira topped the national merit list with an impressive score of 802 out of 960 marks, emerging as the highest-ranked candidate among more than 30,000 aspirants from across the country.

NEET MDS is the mandatory national-level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programmes in India. This year’s examination was conducted on May 2, 2026, by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

A native of Maharashtra’s Bhandara district, Dr Namira comes from a middle-class family and completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Dental College and Hospital, Wanadongri, Nagpur.

Known among her peers and teachers as a disciplined and dedicated student, she attributes her success to consistent hard work, focused preparation, and the unwavering support of her family and mentors. “I received tremendous support from my college, and my parents have always stood by me and supported me in everything,” she said after the results were announced.

Dr Namira hopes to build a successful career as a dental surgeon and sees this achievement as the first step toward that goal.
