Maulana Rabe Hasan Nadvi, President All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), and Rector Darul-Uloom Nadwat-ul-Ulema, Lucknow, said it is a matter of concern that in spite of constitutional guaranties of freedom in the country efforts are made from time to time to create obstacle for Muslims to follow Islamic Shari’ah. He stressed that the Muslims should try to find out a peaceful solution to tackle the situation.
He was delivering his speech at the end of the two-day meeting of the executive council of AIMPLB at Hyderabad on April 26. He said that for long times Muslims have been integral part of the Indian society and like other citizens they also have civil and religious rights.
Maulana Rabe Hasan Nadvi further said, “Without Shari’ah preservation of Muslim identity is impossible; therefore the Muslims should think for an effective way to remove all obstacles which are made in the way to follow Shari’ah. Mr Asaduddin Owaisi, MP has assured every financial cooperation in the legal battle to restore the Babri Masjid and donated Rs. 55 lakhs to the Board on behalf of Ittehad-ul-Muslemin.
In this meet Maulana Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hind stressed the need to eliminate social evils from the Muslim society.
