In a powerful display of humanity, a group of Muslim youths rescued the family of a Hindu temple priest trapped in floodwaters that ravaged the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. The priest’s house was surrounded by rising water after heavy rainfall caused severe flooding in the area. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad),the youths – Faizal Hasan Pathan, Salman Pathan, Azhar Pathan, Faiyaz Pathan, Sonu Lal Pathan, Ayyaz Hasan Pathan, Anis Salim Pathan and Vilas Jadhav – acted quickly, using ropes and boats to reach the stranded family. Despite strong currents, they managed to bring the priest, his wife, and children to safety. Their prompt action drew admiration from villagers and officials alike.
