Recognizing the importance of providing right orientation for students and youth, SIO has decided to run a statewide campaign in Karnataka for the enrollment of Muslim students in higher education, with a major focus on Central Universities and other premier institutes in India.

SIO Karnataka president highlighted the community’s lag in higher education and stressed the need for creating an inclusive atmosphere for all students to access higher education. Having a degree alone is insufficient. He urged the creation of an atmosphere in which all students have access to higher education. He also urged students to choose central universities, emphasizing the government’s role in ensuring their safety. The Muslim community, he stated, has a primary duty to contribute to the nation and society. The campaign aims to educate minority and underprivileged students in the state about higher education, encouraging collaboration between parents and students.

The program also included honoring of Dr. Dada Hayat Bawaji, who recently received Ph.D. from Kannada University, Hampi. Dr.Bawaji asserted that the need for such a campaign is urgent. He emphasized that empowerment in the social, political, and economic spheres is crucial and that a college degree is the route to emancipation.
