MUSLIMS MUST TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF MINORITY RELATED SCHEMES: SAFDAR KHAN

The chairman of Delhi Minority Commission, Mr. Safdar H. Khan organised a meeting with the Muslim Mushawrat Committee in Delhi to get a fair view about the conditions of Muslims and the steps that have been taken to uplift the minorities. In the meeting Mr. Khan introduced various schemes under Maulana Azad Education Foundation and National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (Qaumi Aqliyati Maliyati Corporation). He further talked about the scholarships meant for the students of class 10 and 12 and said the Delhi Minority Commission has received a total of 80,000 requests regarding it. Mr. Khan acquainted the people with other developmental steps taken by the Minority Commission which include free computer education, free mobile repairing course, establishment of I.T.I. and dispensary in North East Delhi, construction of class rooms in Urdu schools, etc. In the meeting much emphasis was given on the short term vocational courses which play a pivotal role in removing unemployment. One of the members of the commission, Mr. Pushpendre Singh talked about the free training of retail management and show room management courses for creating more and more job opportunities for those who are unemployed. The dignitaries who attended the meeting include Mohd. Shahnawaz, Akhlaq Ahmed, Mohd. Farooq Engineer and others.
