A delegation of prestigious Qasim University of Saudi Arabia visited the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University and discussed the areas of cooperation between the two institutions including engineering and computer science with the chairpersons of various departments and senior teachers of the different faculties at the university in Aligarh on March 11, 2011.
Earlier, the delegation met AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. PK Abdul Azis and other University officials at VC lodge. Prof. Azis assured the delegation of full cooperation on the part of AMU in the field of higher studies and research in science, computer and engineering in order to help Qasim University further raise its academic standard and achieve excellence.
Dr. Abdur Rahman Saleha Al-Wasil, Vice President, Higher Education and Scientific Research observed that Aligarh Muslim University is considered among the best institutions in the world. He hoped that the teachers of AMU would help Qasim University to achieve higher academic excellence in the field of science and technology, computer and energy. He said that the relationship between the two institutions is of essential nature and this is why the delegation of Qasim University has visited AMU to seek its specialized help in the area of engineering.
