Bahujan Mukti Party, the political wing of BAMCEF, along with Bharat Mukti Morcha on 30 March jointly organised a nationwide dharna cum protest at its 535 district headquarters throughout India, condemning death threat to Adv Mehmood Pracha by some anti-national elements. R.P. Ambedkar of BMP said that these threats started just after Adv Pracha exposed the role of Rakesh Maria, now Mumbai Police Commissioner, in fabrication of innocent Muslims in false terror cases and shielding up the real culprits of the blasts. BMP demanded that Home Ministry must direct the registration of F.I.R & initiation of inquiry in this very sensitive matter against the culprits.
National representatives of BMP, BAMCEF, Bharat Mukti Morcha, Adv Gaurav Yadav, Adv Sanobar Ali, Adv Mohd Ikram, etc. from Supreme Court of India and Activists of Association for Protection of Civil rights were present at the dharna at Jantar Mantar in the Capital. Adv Pracha is a Supreme Court lawyer and at present he is representing innocents implicated in false terror cases in various courts of India from trial to Supreme Court in about 70 cases.
