Over 1000 Maoists attacked Orissa’s district headquarters town of Koraput and looted 200 sophisticated guns and other weapons worth Rs. 50 crore.

2)  Jehenabad Jail Break (2005)

On 13November 2005, Maoists laid virtual siege to Jehenabad town and freed over 375 prisoners including 130 Naxalites. They looted 185 rifles and 2000 rounds of ammunition.

3)  NaxalAttacks in R. Udayagiri, 40 Prisoners Freed (Feb, 2006)

In 2006, over 500 Maoists with arms and ammunition attacked the Orissa State Armed Police camp in the Gajapati district of Orissa, killing three policemen and freed around 40 prisoners.

4) ChhattisgarhNaxalAttack (2006)

Atleast 25 people were killed and 80 others injured, when over 800 armed Naxalites attacked a village in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

5)  Naxalites Kill JMM MP Sunil Mahato (2007)

Armed Naxalites shot dead JMM MP (LokSabha) Sunil Kumar Mahato, his bodyguards at Bakuria village near Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.

6)  Naxalites Attack Police Outpost; Kill 55 Security Personnel (2007)

Over 500 Naxalites attacked a police outpost in Chhattisgarh’s Rani Bodi village, killing 55 policemen.

7)  NaxalAttack in Dantewada, 303 Prisoners Freed (2007)

The Naxalites attacked the Dantewada jail and freed 303 prisoners, 100 of which were Naxalites.

9)Naxalites Attack in Chhattisgarh (2007)

Naxalites attacked a police outpost, killing 55 policemen belonging to the state police and other Special Police Officers in Chhattisgarh’s Rani Bodi village.

10)NayagarhNaxal Attack (2008)

The Naxal attack in Nayagarh is one of the deadliest Naxal attacks in India, killed 14 policemen.

11)Naxal Attack in Gadchiroli (2009)

At least 15 CRPF personnel were killed on 27 March in Pushtola district of Maharashtra.

12)Naxal Attack in Dantewada (2010)

Naxalite Rebels killed 76 persons including paramilitary personnel of the CRPF and two policemen.

13)Silda Camp Attack (2010)

Dozens of Naxalite Maoist insurgents ambushed the camp in Silda in West Bengal, resulting in death of 24 paramilitary personnel.

14)Naxalites Attempted Derailment (2010)

In 2010 Naxalites attempted derailment of TriveniExpress and Kolkata–Mumbai mail. The derailment killed at least 150 persons.

15)Naxal Attack in Jharkhand (2012)

Thirteen policemen, including an officer were killed and two others injured  near the jungles of Bariganwa.

16)Naxal Attack in Sukma(2013)

The 2013 Naxal attack in Darbha valley in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh caused at least 27 deaths.
