The National Investigation Agency on 22 May filed a charge sheet against Hindutva extremists in connection with Malegaon blast case in 2006 which had left around 37 persons dead. The charge sheet has named Lokesh Sharma, RajendraChoudhry, Dhan Singh and Manohar. All four have been charged under different sections of Indian Penal Code, UAPA and the Explosive Substance Act. But the charge sheet did not mention the names of Swami Aseemanand, SadhviPragyaSingh Thakur and Lieutenant Colonel Purohit. Aseemanand had earlier confessed before a magistrate court to have carried out the blast. It is believed that the NIA may file a supplementary charge sheet naming these three accused.
