The visit to Kabeer Urdu Higher Primary and High School, located in Rajiv Nagar II stage came as a shock for the President of Mysore District Committee for Human Rights Federation of India, Afzar Pasha and member Bhojaraja. The school was operating without teachers in Kannada, English and Urdu. Some of the teachers at the institution were teaching on temporary basis for over a decade. Student-teacher ratio was also abysmal low. The president of Federation has requested the district in-charge minister S A Ramdas to intervene in the matter and help the school fill vacant posts of teachers. Stating that teachers’ working since last 10 years on temporary basis is a clear violation of human rights, Pasha said state government should act in this regard and regularise the services of teachers in the interest of students.
