The Special Public Prosecutor Ms. Rohini Salian on December 29 sought Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) against the three prime accused in the Malegaon bomb blast case who are absconding. Ms. Salian told a Mumbai court, “Ramji Kalsangra and Suresh Dange have been on the run since the blast. It is essential to have a non-bailable warrant issued at the earliest.” She, however, did not disclose the third name maintaining that this would jeopardise the ongoing investigation. It is alleged that Ramji had purportedly placed the explosive-laden bike at Malegaon’s Bhiku Chowk area on September 29 that went off killing six people. He was arrested after a statement of an eyewitness which claimed that he heard one of the accused Ramji, a mobile shop owner, discuss the Malegaon blast conspiracy with Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur.
