MOHAMMAD YACOOB pleads for creation of a sovereign Palestinian State for putting an end to continuing state terrorism and war crimes of Israel.

The beginning of the 20th century saw arrival of Palestine looters and those who later became the oppressors in Palestine. The British government, with the help of other imperial powers, finally created the state of Israel on February 14, 1948. Arabs by the hundreds of thousands were driven out of their cities and villages when Israel was established. The looters and the oppressors got a free hand in terrorising the Arabs – both Muslims and Christians – who remained in Israel, and made their lives miserable. We all know that life for Arabs in Israel has not been easy.

Arabs are second class citizens in Israel in the hands of Palestine looters and oppressors from the start. The discrimination they face is indescribable even though Arabs make 20 % of the Israeli population.  The Israelis have made their lives miserable by not allowing them to buy property and by placing limitations on the areas where they can live. Arabs’ schools and healthcare institutions do not get equal funding. The roads leading to Arab neighbourhoods are not paved as fast as those in Jewish neighbourhoods. The number of Arabs living in poverty is between three to four times that of Jews. This is just the story of Israel. These facts are not lost on the decent and peace loving Jews. More than two million Jewish people living in Israel and other parts of the world are ashamed of the bigotry, hypocrisy and demagoguery of the Israelis.

Palestine does not have OIL, so these bigots, hypocrites and demagogues of Israel want Palestine SOIL. The Israelis are saying if there is no oil we want soil; we want Palestine land. Invasion of West Bank of Jordan and Gaza in 1967 was the first instalment of their land grab mission. The Palestinians kept on fighting for justice and for their homeland. Then came PLO-II (Palestine Liberation Organisation) and made the claim that they were representing the Palestinian people living under Israeli occupation, living  in Diaspora, in refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Gaza and other places. PLO-II does not exist any more as it has become Palestine Authority which is a very weak organisation.

The sufferings of the Palestinians under the Israelis gave rise to Intifada, Palestinian uprising in West Bank and Gaza in 1987. This is the same year in which Hamas was created.

Approximately 90% of the Hamas resources are spent on social welfare, cultural and educational activities. In the West Bank and Gaza, Hamas has established hospitals, schools, libraries and provided other social services.

Hamas leaders are realists and on the other hand Israeli politicians are war lords, war mongers and war criminals.

ARMED RESISTANCE FOR INDEPENDENCE

Hamas leaders have repeatedly stated that their group would end armed resistance in exchange for a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. The Israeli warlords continued the propaganda that Hamas wants to eliminate Israel. Israel has attack airplanes, bomber airplanes, tanks, navy ships, air to air missiles, rockets, arms and ammunitions supplied by White House and Pentagon of the US. Hamas has guns, homemade rockets and frustration because of blockade from all sides.  Palestinians are resisting and Israelis are killing. Israelis have no morals.

HAMAS WANTS LONGER TERM TRUCE

Hamas has acknowledged that there is an entity called Israel. They want a two-state solution, Israel and Palestine. The Israeli economy is war economy and its society is fear-instilling society. Israelis want to kill Palestinians and frighten Jews saying that Jews would be killed and eliminated by Palestinians if Jews did not follow the path taken by the Israeli politicians. In short, Palestinians want peace and Israelis want war.

WHY PEACE IS ELUSIVE?

The stubborn, arrogant and condescending Israelis have always delayed peacemaking and made it more elusive. Israelis have built walls, fences and more than 600 checkpoints to harass Palestinians and blackmail their own citizens, Jews.  Israelis have proved that they are a brutal force and occupiers. When they built the snake wall between Palestine and Israel they took more than 8% of the West Bank of Palestine on their side. Israelis have acted as thugs, thieves, robbers and looters. Israelis will never have peace without negotiated agreement to end the occupation of Palestine lands invaded and captured in the 1967 war.

HAMAS POPULAR, PA WEAK

Palestinians have lots of respect for Hamas because of its efficiency and lack of corruption compared to Palestinian Authority in the area of social welfare and education.  In the Israeli occupied territories of Palestine, Hamas’ work includes school and hospital construction. Hamas spends a large portion of its budget for extensive social services, runs many relief and education programmes, funds schools, builds mosques, orphanages, healthcare clinics, soup kitchens – where people are provided free meals – and encourages sports. Such services are not provided by The Palestinian Authority. In February 2006 Hamas won the majority of the seats in the first fair and democratic election held in Palestine and formed the government in March 2006.

CONSULT HAMAS OR FACE RUDE AWAKENING

Hamas is a religious and nationalist resistance movement whose focus is to get freedom from the shackles of the oppressive regime in Israel. It is ready and willing to play a role in negotiated peace with Israel. It is the most powerful organisation in the Palestinian territory and is deeply ingrained in the society. Israel and its cohort, the US, cannot wish it away. The United States, with the help of the warlords of Israel, armed and funded militias controlled by the Palestine Authority to overthrow the Hamas-led government.  According to an article in Vanity Fair, the plan was approved by none other than the disgraced US secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and President George W. Bush.

Hamas is a democratic, tolerant and peaceful social movement. It is now in virtual control of Gaza. Israel imposed an economic blockade on Gaza. Hamas is fighting for the survival of the Palestinians in Gaza. Fighting for survival is not terrorism. On the contrary, dropping bombs, killing more than 1400 innocent people including children and women in Gaza, injuring more than 6,000 Palestinians, destroying more than 2000 buildings and houses, killing innocent people of Gaza who had taken refuge in schools and hospitals is pure terrorism.

The Israelis and their mentors in the USA should know that shooting Palestinians in cold blood is terrorism; executing Palestinian parents in front of children in Gaza is terrorism; attacking medical workers, as reported by hospital personnel, is terrorism; blocking ambulances and letting fathers watch sons bleed to death is terrorism.  Israelis are worst terrorists, cowards and morally cowards. Israeli troops have no Jewish values even for namesake.

More and more decent Jewish people are speaking against the actions of the Israelis as has been reported below:

“Muslims are touched and inspired by many of the protests and vigils in the United States and Israel on Gaza’s devastation that were led by strong Jewish voices critical of Israel’s barbaric actions. Thousands of Israeli and American Jews spoke out against the killings and destruction in Gaza. Those courageous voices include those of Amira Hass, Gideon Levy, Akiva Eldar, Jeff Halper (the Israeli Committee against House Demolitions), LA Jews for Peace, and Jewish Voice for Peace, among thousands others.” (Hussam Ayloush, article entitled ‘Political Debate: Yes; Bigotry: No’, Executive Director of CAIR, Council on American – Islamic Relations, Greater Los Angeles, California, January 29, 2009)

The time has come for the United States and the Europeans to make concerted efforts to support a unified Palestinian government that could negotiate peace with Israel.

It is also time for Israelis to come back to their senses and move away from the unhelpful direction taken by their disgraced politicians and morally bankrupt Israeli troops.

Israel must create a sovereign Palestinian State in the West Bank and Gaza. If Palestine is not created, the Palestinians will continue to resist and fight for survival. Then the rude awakening for Israelis will be that they are and will always be slaves of the Warmongers of Israel, Warlords of Israel and War Criminals of Israel.
