It’s past midnight, time to go to the press. Islamabad negotiations between the United States and Iran have failed. JD Vance, the US Vice President has returned to Washington DC. He detonated a bomb by saying that they had come with good faith but going back emptyhanded. He explained what were red lines set by them. He further said that they offered Iran the best, but failed to get positive response.
Iran knows the US and its history of continuous misdeeds right from the days of Korean war. What the so-called champion of liberty did in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and scores of other countries is still fresh in the memory of countless world watchers and millions of common people who have been suffering for long periods under the yoke of the Satan in the garb of a democrat.Who knows this better than Iran which has been suffering under the inhuman sanctions imposed upon it since the Islamic Revolution in 1969.
After the failure of these talks, the world appears to be faced with another prolonged period of inhuman war and destructive hostilities. If matters are not settled amicably, America also would suffer economic loss, ignominy and deficit of its reputation as a supporter of democracy and standard bearer of justice and human rights.
Those days are over when small nations were forced to bow their heads before the hegemons, dictators and false protectors of democracy and human rights.
Iran has set the brightest example of how a self-respecting small nation can challenge the might of the so-called greatest military power of the world. In this war between the weak but self-confidant Iran and the strongest but arrogant and irresponsible America, the world would see that the weak would win and the arrogant is defeated. It is also feared that the out and out terrorist state and its terrorist head Netanyahu will see to it that the war continues even at the loss of face, economic loss and the decimation of Israel.
India also has to learn a lesson. Our small neighbour Pakistan has secured the reputation of being a mediator of peace while our country’s PM Modi has caused immense disrespect to India by being on the side of the terrorist state, Israel.
War is looming large on the sky. The wrong policies of Modi and his support for injustice are bound to put India and its large population to unimaginable economic difficulties.
Should we hope that PM Modi will correct his policies and would stand on the side of justice and world peace?
