Persecution of Indian Muslims Escalates as World Watches in Silence

However, the world looks on and does nothing. On the contrary, they do business with India, like recently the UK’s trade deal with Modi’s government with no mention of human rights abuses against Muslims.

According to news published in the media, there is a UN official criticising India for failing to protect its Muslim minority who were attacked in Pahalgam, in Jammu and Kashmir. This is not new. Muslims face hate crimes throughout India everyday. They are killed, beaten up, their houses and businesses demolished, journalists imprisoned, and discriminated against in employment.

However, the world looks on and does nothing. On the contrary, they do business with India, like recently the UK’s trade deal with Modi’s government with no mention of human rights abuses against Muslims.

The Increasing Dog Menace

Recently,in Ponda, Goa a 3-year-old girl was shredded to pieces by stray dogs. Her father left home for Fajr(morning) congregation in the mosque, unfortunately keeping the door open. The girl tracing her father through the main open entrance, was no sooner found on the road,in scattered chunks…her limbs torn apart, carried in jaws, by numerous starving, berserk stray dogs.

Another mishap in Raichur, Karnataka, is heart-breaking. Where a 4-year-old boy was brutally attacked by five stray dogs near his home. A dog grabbed his neck and began dragging him, while four more joined in. His terrified screams echoed through the street, until his courageous mother ran out and fought to save him. The child was rushed to the hospital with serious wounds on his head, neck, and face. Not every child is fortunate, like my young daughter. Who traumatizingly sprinted, screaming her lungs out, to save herself from the ferocious dogs, charging at her from behind.

Many more cases, of children with such impending brutal attacks, have been reported in the recent months. But how many more children must suffer before immediate action is taken? We request the government, to immediately relocate stray dogs from residential areas.

On one hand, we have government passing laws, to pick up stray dogs and dump them in shelter homes. But on the other hand, efforts have to be made by concerned authorities, to create shelters, where these animals are kept safe, fed, loved, adopted by kind families and also immunised to prevent the threat of rabies. This growing concern of parents losing their toddlers cannot be pushed under the carpet.

Let’s protect our children, and also give animals a life with dignity and care. Because Our Beloved Prophet Muhammed ﷺmentioned in his saying: “Be Kind, towards the creations of God (Humans or animals); and your Creator (God) will be kind towards you in return!”

Oppose Israel Takeover

The report which says that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu favours a complete takeover of the embattled Gaza Strip, the homeland of the Palestinians, made for shocking reading. There is no doubting the fact that the people of Gaza are in the grip of starvation and unimaginable woes in the context of the Israel-Hamas war which has been raging for the past 22 months.

That, however, does not mean that the Palestinians are just going to give up the autonomy of the land they so much love. The world community including India should do its best to impress upon Israel the need for peace in Gaza and a return to normalcy and drop the preposterous ideas of a complete takeover.

Dr.RamzyBaroud

Dr.RamzyBaroud, Editor of Palestine Chronicle and ajournalistwell-known for his bold and transparent writings, is charged for publishing articles from Abdallah Aljamal, who is described as a “Hamas operative” by Israel. The complaint further states that PC “aided & abetted” terrorism.

Any voice exposing brutality, inhumanness of Zionists is labelled as terrorism. The main intention of Zionists is to silence the people who do not toe their line of action. They want to show the dissenters that if they speak against them, their fate is fixed.

Mr. Mohamed El Mokhtar Sidi Haiba, a renowned social and political analyst, has correctly said in his article which I would like to quote, “To condemn Dr.RamzyBaroud would be to condemn journalism itself. To acquit him is to restore some dignity to justice. The choice is clear.”

May Allah protect him from the blood-thirsty people and the enemies of Islam.
