The BJP resolved to intensify fight against corruption and price rise during the Congress-led UPA. Party veteran L.K. Advani described 2010 as the year of scams. He further said the then P.M. Jawaharlal Nehru bid good-bye to Arunachal Pradesh, then known as NEGA, during 1962 Indo-China war.
In fact, during NDA’s 6 years rule prices were rising and corruption was also rampant. People witnessed on T.V. screen BJP’s then president Bangaru Laxman taking bundles of currency notes as bribe in a fake defence arms deal. Vajpayee and Advani did not punish him for this grave, anti-national crime. NDA’s defence minister George Fernandes was also not punished for Kargil Taboot scam. While corruption must be fought tooth and nail, Advani & Co. is trying to divert attention from RSS complicity in terror acts by levelling such accusations. Let us remind them: physician, heal thyself!
