The incident happened on October 21, when some members of the Tableeghi Jamaat, onboard train 12781 (from Mysore to Hazrat Nizamuddin), were badly beaten by the police officials and then taken off the train. The incident happened at Agra station when 10-12 police officers boarded the train in civil dress. Some of them wore handcuffs and hid their faces with cloth. It was made to appear as if they were taking some terrorists. Suddenly they unlocked the handcuffs from their hands and tied them with the hands of the members of the Tableeghi Jamaat and started misbehaving with them. Later when the train stopped at Mathura, 300 police officers were waiting there. They were then taken to Sona police station in Kogarh village and were made to strip. Along with the physical torture desecration of Qur’ān was also done to hurt their feelings. Later when the families received the news, they got them released. This news appeared in Urdu daily Rashtrya Sahara on November 21, however the paper does not mention the reason why the police misbehaved with the Tableeghi Jamaat people.
