It has been seen that youngsters are very much apathetic towards voting and the main cause is probably not having information about the contestants. “If they (youngsters) make up their mind to vote, this target group can bring drastic changes to electoral results, and derive accountability of elected candidates. Voterite provides a common platform where anyone can get any information about any leader he/she may be interested in,” elaborates Mr. Nalagampalli. Since social media is gaining popularity every day especially among the newer generation, all the political parties as well as leaders are sparing their times on such platforms to woo young voters. Also there are several organisations providing details of politicians through this means hence urging them to elect better candidates.
