PROF. IRFAN NAMED AMU CONTROLLER OF EXAMS

Aligarh Muslim University Vice-Chancellor Professor PK Abdul Azis has appointed distinguished scientist and Head of the Department of Physics Professor Muhammad Irfan as Controller of Admissions and Examinations of the university. Professor Irfan will succeed Professor Akhtar Hasib, who had tendered his resignation as Controller.

Aligarh Muslim University Vice-Chancellor Professor PK Abdul Azis has appointed distinguished scientist and Head of the Department of Physics Professor Muhammad Irfan as Controller of Admissions and Examinations of the university. Professor Irfan will succeed Professor Akhtar Hasib, who had tendered his resignation as Controller.
Professor Irfan has been associated with academic works for the last 35 years. He has to his credit 96 research articles published in reputed national and international magazines and journals. Five M.Phil and seven Ph.D scholars have successfully completed their works under Professor Irfan.
Dr Irfan also rendered his services as professor at Al-Fatah University, Libya. He has visited several other countries like Switzerland, Italy and Russia.
Dr Irfan is also Principal Investigator of M.L.I.C.E., an international physics science organisation with membership of physics scientists and engineers from 27 countries.
Besides heading the Department of Physics, Dr Irfan had also been secretary and joint secretary of AMU Staff Association.
The AMU Vice-Chancellor has also appointed Professor Muhammad Murtaza Khan of Department of Political Science as Dean Faculty of Social Sciences for the next two years. Professor Khan will succeed Professor Hamida Ahmad.
Dean Science Faculty Professor Muhammad Zubair Khan and Dean Agricultural Sciences of the university have been appointed as new members of AMU Executive Council owing to their being most senior Deans of the university.
