This refers to the article “A Case of Misuse of AFSPA” in the Radiance Viewsweekly (6-12 January). There is nothing new to hear the case of Human Rights violation by the members of law enforcement agencies. Though this is at its climax in the states where AFSPA rules, similar crimes including fake encounters and framing innocents by state police are very common in other states as well. One is free to rely upon the government to launch a transparency measures for the law enforcement agencies but I think a heavy response from public side is the need of the hour. A common man must recognise his potential and be strong enough to fight for his rights at any cost. In this regard mutual cooperation and communication between citizens is essential. One should visit his neighbours at a regular frequency of time to make them know that they all are united.
