Congratulations on focusing a very live issue of European protest against corporate greed (Radiance, 30 Oct-5 Nov). Mr. Arshad Ajmal has rightly urged Islamists to work hard to present Islamic economy. I understand that the Islamists are very serious and are working hard to present to the world the Islamic economic system despite meagre resources at their command. However, it is high time to seize these opportunities to present our system to the western people. Islam itself has great instruments to prevent undue accumulation of wealth among certain privileged sections. These instruments include prevention of illegal hoardings, distribution of assets of the deceased among relatives, checking transaction in which one party benefits at the cost of the other party and transaction by luring the mind. Besides proper distribution of wealth, Islam ensures creation of wealth at a fast pace keeping all aspects of morality intact.
Dr. Waquar Anwar has done a really great job in posting all proper details regarding the Tea Party of USA and other vital information too. He has rightly noted that in our country, as elsewhere, the fascists always take shelter in nationalist approach beating the same drum of liberalism, democracy coupled with nationalism.
