“Surely this Qur’ān explains to the Children of Israel most of the matters concerning which they have disagreements and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His Judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. So put your trust in Allah for you are on the manifest truth. Surely you cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear your call if they turn back in flight.”
(Al Qur’ān – 27:76-80)
It is a wondrous manifestation of God’s Knowledge of the Unseen that the historical events of the Israelites have been narrated in the Qur’ān through the unlettered Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This contrasts with the fact that the Israelite scholars disagreed among themselves about these events. God has made it clear as to who is following the Truth and who is opposed to it. In Arabia itself, there remained no one who was not convinced that it was Muhammad ﷺ who was the standard-bearer of the Truth.
The ayat 27:77 says that those who accept the Message of the Qur’ān and who believe in what it expounds in very clear terms will find the Truth. Such people will save themselves from the errors and sins in which their nation was immersed neck deep. Through the Qur’ān they will find the True and Straight Path; they will be blessed by God with the bounties which the unbelievers were unable to imagine. This is the result of their embracing the teachings of the Qur’ān.
