This week (18-24 Jan 2026) Editorial is with sharp words against Trump. Poet Iqbal’s words ‘the devil of oppression, dressed in democratic garb, is trampling upon human rights, but innocent people think it to be the angel of freedom’, rightly fit for Americans.
Syed Khalid Husain nicely pointed out in his article, only because of intelligence, previously Atheist, Elon Musk not shied in confessing the Existence of GOD.
Purely with religious hatred Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence has been closed. Dr. M. Iqbal Siddiqui gave a detailed narration in his article, ‘When Regulation Follows the Mob’. If at all the SMVDIME is closedon the grounds of deficiencies in infrastructure pointed out but by surprise inspections. National Medical Commission should have taken actions against the Authorities who gave permission to the Institution to function, and asked to remove the deficiencies with a time frame without closure of the Institution.

I fully agree to what Mufti Shamail said to media just after debate, “… I believe that rather than fighting, all the different ideologies should sit together and talk with love and affection, i.e. interfaith religious dialogue is need of hour. The Holy Quran clearly says in Surah Ale Imraan (3:64) “Say, O Prophet, O People of Book! Let us come to common terms.”

Dissolve Illegal Gaza Peace Board
US President Trump has formed the Gaza Peace Board and India was been invited to join it with other countries. The land of Gaza is illegally occupied by Israel with the support of the USA. It will be a violation of India’s commitment to rule of law. Considering India’s support to Palestine since 1948, it would be wise to refuse the proposal of Trump.
The aims & objectives of Gaza Peace Board are (1) To legalise occupation of Gaza (2) Not existence but complete wipe out from this planet. (3) To install a regime which ensures Israeli domination (4) To show the world that any dissent or disobedience to the USA will have to face the same fate. Either you obey or be prepared to perish. Loyalty will be rewarded, dissent will be eliminated or evaporated.
In my opinion, the Gaza Peace Board must be dissolved immediately as it has not been formed democratically. Palestine be handed over to its original owners under neutral and impartial Muslim countries which are NOT puppets of the USA.

Adoption: When Lawful and When Prohibited in Islam
Adopting an orphan with care and sympathy only for rearing, educating, sheltering and even for protecting his property, is a great virtuous deed. Prophet Muhammad ﷺsays:“I and one who raises an orphan will stay in the Paradise like two fingers joined with each other. The best house of a Muslim is one wherein there is an orphan who is treated well; and the worst house of a Muslim is one wherein there is an orphan who is badly treated.”
Notably, Islam has warned a person of dire penalty who embezzles the property of an orphan: “Lo! Those who unjustly devour the property of orphans, devour the Fire into their bellies.”(The Qur’an 4: 10)
A childless couple adopts an orphan intending to make him its own child,and the orphan is allowed to mingle with its family members and granted the right to inherit its property. Even the orphan is later known by the name of the couple who adopts him. This kind of adoption is prohibited in Islam. The Qur’an states: “Allah has not made your adopted sons your sons’.’(33:4)
So it is better for a childless couple to submit to its destiny than to adopt an orphan in a manner as prohibited in Islam.
