During theprotest meet, a resolution was adopted seeking Akhilesh government to relinquish his post, owing moral responsibility over the death of Khalid Mujahid. It was also said in the resolution that the barbaric death of Khalid Mujahid took place while he was upholding his Imaan and therefore he is entitled for the status of Shaheed.
The resolution also demanded to arrest and punish all those police officers allegedly involved in the murder of Khalid Mujahid and criminal cases be lodged against them. Even those police officers who had arrested Mujahid on false charges and against whom his family has lodged an FIR must be suspended immediately and tried in a court of law.

Engineer Mohammad Salim, secretary, JIH, while speaking on the occasion said that Islamic scholar Khalid Mujahid’s dead body had injury marks and rashes and while going to court he was wearing traditional KurtaPajama but when he reached the hospital he was wearing T-Shirt and lower, which he never used to wear. He further said that it is being said that Khalid died because of heart attack but what has come out so far indicates conspiracy or a foul play. According to him, Khalid was to be released shortly and there was possibility that Khalid could have become witness against some higher police officials and that is why it is believed that he was eliminated.
QariMoinuddin, convener of the forum, said that Muslims are like other citizens but even then they are not safe and are subjected to discrimination at all levels. He also asked all to fight to ensure justice has been done to Khalid and his family.
