It is a fact that Ramjanmasthan Mandir is in existence in Ayodhya, and it is far from Babri Masjid. The Archaeological Survey of India Report 1862-63 records this temple as “After Tretaka-Thakur, close by is the Lashman Ghat and about one quarter of a mile distance in the very heart of the city stands the Ramjanmasthan Mandir (birth place mandir of Shri Ram).” This mandir is still there in Ayodhya in the northern side of Babri Masjid and is called Ramjanmasthan Mandir. The centenarian priest of this Ramjanmasthan Mandir, Mahant Janki Jiwandas who was alive in 1990, had vehemently denied the contention that Babri Masjid had been the site of the birthplace of Shri Ram. Therefore, there is no difficulty to conclude that Ramjanmasthan or Ramjanmabhoomi Mandir was built somewhere else and not at the site of Babri Masjid. Hence Ramjanmasthan mandir is still in existence in Ayodhya.
