Save the Country from Turning into a Communal Cauldron

As the time for Lok Sabha elections 2024 is coming nigh, peace is being vitiated and social ambiance in the country is being communalised. At least the kind of communal violence on the occasion of Ram Navami at different places like Bihar Sharif, Howrah, Baroda,Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Malvani, etc. in different States bears witness to this not-so-new phenomenon. This is not unprecedented. This is the well-acknowledged ‘strategy’ of the communal forces to polarise the atmosphere in the country and reap electoral dividends. Peace-loving people of the country should play their role in convincing the large segments of masses to keep calm, remain alert and save the country from turning into a communal cauldron. Their concerted effort in this regard is the need of the hour.

Taraweeh at the Times Square

This is for the second time this year that Muslims offered Taraweeh prayers at the iconic Times Square, Manhattan, New York, in the United States.Hundreds of Muslims observing the holy month of Ramadhan broke their fast and offered Taraweeh prayers atthe Times Square with due permission of the local administration.Bosnian-American imam FatihSeferagic, who had led the Taraweeh prayers at Kuwait mosques in recent years led the Taraweeh prayer at Times Square this Ramadan.

The Muslims praying at the Times Square presents a scene of bonhomie and communal amity. More cities in the US and European countries are likely to follow suit.
